”Give Props” to props
This class creatively weaves the use of blocks, blankets, bolsters and straps into its mindful sequences. Often times props are viewed as a way to “make things easier” and a more “advanced” yogi doesn’t need them. This simply is not the case. While props can certainly be used for support and relaxation—which we WILL do, we will also explore the many ways they can be used to build strength, increase challenge, and bring stability and accessibility to poses that you simply may not be able to properly reach on your own. Join me for this mindfully moving flow as we highlight prop options rather than treat them as an afterthought. It’s probably the class you didn’t know you needed.

I started teaching this class in 2017 as a fun way for people to become more familiar with the 7 chakras (energy centers within our body) and it quickly became on of my favorite classes to teach. If you don’t know what the chakras are, or want to dive deeper into them—this class is for you. As a flowing practice, it is similar to a vinyasa class with varying degrees of effort and ease. Modifications are always provided.
Located along the spine, each chakra corresponds to different physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of our lives.
This class breaks each energy center down one at a time and by incorporates specific poses, breathwork, meditations, and so much more into the hour. It’s not only designed to give you a well rounded physical class, but also give you a deeper understanding of your practice on and off the mat. Class ends with the soothing sound of a chakra drum.
